Ugur
Ugur is a housewife with 2 beautiful children. Her daughter is going to university and her son is in high school. Since covid started they are one of the many families that’s been impacted by economic turmoil in Turkey. Ugur’s husband unfortunately lost his job last year and she is trying to help her family through her art.
Ugur has been crafting since she was a child but initially started making jewellery to make her own. She finds working with her hands therapeutic and working with colourful beads gives her happiness. Once she started making her own jewellery other people loved her work and wanted to buy. She says she attended the municipals free jewellery making course to improve her skills, and is planning to learn and explore more.
